Research and Investigation into Anomalous Light Phenomena
on and over Lake Ontario, Ontario, Canada
In 1994, my attention was slightly redirected when I heard of a strange incident allegedly occurring near Silbury Hill, close to the stone circle of Avebury, in Wiltshire. Witnesses testify that they saw strange light phenomena in the proximity of Silbury Hill, and apparently, these light phenomena were moving in an intelligent and directed manner.
I had received a magazine, "The Circular," - the "quarterly" produced by the Centre for Crop Circle Studies, which encompassed many aspects of the crop circle phenomenon itself, and often included reference to unexplained lights and "structures" that are sometimes seen in conjunction with the field designs.
In said magazine, the witnesses' stories were recounted, and also, mention was made of a project that had taken place in the vicinity of Silbury Hill only days before. This had been a meditative event directed by two gentlemen from Germany, in conjunction with an organization called C.S.E.T.I. - The Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence.
This group was inviting people to join with them the following summer, 1995, to re-enact the 1994 project, and hopefully establish some "contact" with the anomalous lights that had been seen near Silbury Hill, should such an event happen again.
I contacted the Research Director and Executive Assistant of C.S.E.T.I., the late Ms. Shari Adamiak, and told her of my interest. I became a member of this organization as I felt that their mandate was a sincere effort to work towards world, and maybe, "universal peace". In 2025, as I review these notes, the hope of world peace seems to be more remote.
C.S.E.T.I.'s Founder and International Director was Dr. Steven M. Greer. He started the organization in his home state of North Carolina where he worked as an Emergency Room Physician. C.S.E.T.I. was founded in 1991 and is dedicated to "establishing peaceful and sustainable relations with extraterrestrial life forms".
Doctor Greer developed a project called the C.E.-5 Initiative, which is the category of Close Encounter in which the humans are not just passive observers, but actually take an active part in the "event."
THE C.E.-5 INITIATIVE
C.E.-5 is a term describing a fifth category of close encounters with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI).
The C.E.-5 Initiative had, as its central focus, bilateral ETI-human communication based on mutual respect and universal principles of exchange and contact.
In 1995, I travelled to England, and took part in a large meditative project which was, yet again, organized by the German gentlemen, in conjunction with C.S.E.T.I. and other interested groups.
In June of 1996, in the beautiful mountains of the Sangre de Cristo and the spectacular San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado I attended a week of training led by Doctor Greer and Ms. Adamiak. This was an interesting experience.
The image above shows our training group near Crestone, Colorado.
The location itself was almost other-worldly but nowhere as interesting as the strange and anomalous events that came to pass during our night training sessions on the floor of th valley.
I returned from Colorado and gathered some interested and like-minded people together to form a small working group and use the contact protocols that had been shown to our training group by Doctor Greer and Ms. Adamiak. The synchronicites started almost as soon as I proceeded to look for people who might become members of this working group. However, some of the people who came along were not very committed and remained for only a very short time.
One day, I attended a talk given by a gentleman who claimed to have been taken aboard an extraterrestrial craft and given a world tour. This talk was very long, and during the recess period I met a new friend called Jonathan whom I later found out was a dowser and Reiki practitioner.
He and I went out quite frequently and worked on the contact protocols set out by Dr. Greer. We worked, sometimes with other people, sometimes not. We worked through from September Autumn weather right into the bitter cold of a Canadian winter. Strange events seemed to be taking place on the property where we were conducting our research.
However, early in the Spring, my partner had a very unusual dream. He got the impression that it would be a good idea to go down to the North shore of Lake Ontario and look south because he had dreamt about golden bubbles appearing over the water.
I agreed to this excursion, and, on March 22nd 1997, a beautifully bright but very cold night, we went down to Oakville on the North shore of Lake Ontario. The stars were scintillating, there was an almost full moon and the comet Hale-Bopp was spectacular in the Northern sky.
However, my partner turned around from looking at the comet, and there, over the lake itself, were orb-shaped golden lights. They would appear in mid-air, hover for a while and then disappear, seemingly into the water.
We had a third person, Mick, with us, who lived in the neighbourhood, and after a short while we all left to go and warm up at her house with hot drinks. The outdoor temperature at this time was -19 degrees C. After refreshments, we went back down to the shore. The anomalous lights were still there. They were appearing as if from nowhere, staying a while, then either blinking out, or gently seemingly slipping into the water.
March 22nd was a Saturday and we went out on many subsequent nights hoping to see these strange lights/objects. We were not disappointed. If the weather was clear, then we saw them. On many occasions they were seemingly submerging into the icy waters of the lake.
Another person, Diane, came on to the scene on 26th March. She was a devoted watcher of the lake.
Jonathan, the gentleman who had dreamt about the golden bubbles, came out twice after that initial evening but not again. Occasionally we would meet, talk and catch up with news, but our paths crossed very infrequently.
From March 22nd until April 19th 1997 we went out nearly every night, watching, making audio cassette recordings of our observations and hoping to eventually record these objects on video.
