"Woman tells of local UFO"
WILSON - The barking of dogs and a "strange red glowing light" Friday morning sparked a report of an unidentified flying object to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
Jane Sherman, 3751 Beebe Road, told deputies she was awakened by the barking of area dogs and investigated the disturbance. She reported a strange red glowing light over the woods near her home.
She said she called her daughter and son-in-law, who live next door. They joined her in watching what appeared to be a craft hover over the wooded area. They reportedly watched for 15 minutes and told the deputy arriving on the scene the craft disappeared, traveling in an easterly direction, as he approached.
